NHL Playoff Predictions - Conference Finals

So my predictions for the past round did not pan out as well as I thought they would. I only went one for four this past round, with the Sharks being the only team moving on (and just barely!). The silver lining to it all is that my predicted Stanley Cup champions are still in the hunt - and that's really the only correct prediction that matters in the end.

3. Boston Bruins vs. 5. Tampa Bay Lightning
  • Pick: Tampa Bay Lightning in 6
  • Five: Bolts have been here before

1. Vancouver Canucks vs. 2. San Jose Sharks
  • Pick: San Jose Sharks
  • Five: Couture continues Smythe worthy performance

    This is late after being out of the country for over a week.

    so take this as u wish since both series have gone a game.

    however i will be picking one team who has won and one who have last.

    EAST

    Bruins vs Lightning
    Bruins in 6
    Again the bruins are far to deep for TBL to handle offensively. TBL has proven depth so far these playoffs but I think the depth of D is where boston will get the victory.

    WEST

    Canucks vs Sharks

    CANUCKS in 6
    Dont get me wrong i love the sharks. i have been a sharks fan (outside of the leafs) since Big joe landed there and watched them fall year in year out (along with many of my playoff pools) ever since. this year REALLY coulda been there year if it wasnt for the team from BC. at the start of these playoffs i had a west final between these two teams and believe the winner takes the cup. Thats right the cup goes back to the west Again this year. Big Joe and company are firering on all cylinders and look like the team I was waiting for year in and year out. However im sticking with my ORIGINAL playoff prediction (FFW can confirm) of a final between the CANUCKS and BRUINS!!

    There hasn't been a place to post for the finals and i was waiting but nothing has been posted... so here is my pick for the CUP

    THE CANUCKS! in 6

    I think this is going to be less of a goalie battle than people are making it out to be.

    The canucks are deeper than the deepest team from the east, the Bruins.

    If Milan can show up for the bruins he can make life miserable for Luongo.

    Kesler will be the big gun for the canucks as Chara will be after the sedins, whether he can is a different story.

    the Bruins Powerplay has to come back to life if they stand a CHANCE in this series.

    Going to be fantastic to see either of these two teams take it but for the first time since MTL, the Cup is coming north of the border.
