NBA Playoff Predictions - Eastern Conference, Round 1

As another NBA season quickly winds down, we say goodbye to the terrible 7 teams in the East Conference and wish them good luck on their lottery picks (Terrible 7, I kind of like the ring to that). I feel that no one should be surprised by the picks made for the East as this conference has held steady through the 82-game season. As our previous entries have been, our explanations will continue to be short, sweet and to the point. Let the story begin.

1. Chicago Bulls vs. 8. Indiana Pacers
  • Pick: Chicago Bulls
  • Five: Frank Vogel can't help you

2. Miami Heat vs. 7. Philadelphia 76ers
  • Pick: Miami Heat
  • Five: Big 3 silence the critics

3. Boston Celtics vs. 6. New York Knicks
  • Pick: Boston Celtics
  • Five: Experience over show and talent

4. Orlando Magic vs. 5. Atlanta Hawks
  • Pick: Orlando Magic
  • Five: Hawk's ending not so Smoove
I know I may receive some debates over my picks in the 3v6 and 4v5 series but stats don't lie (Hence StatGuru). Melo and the Knicks will fail to connect as Amare's injury throws of their rotation once again while Atlanta remain an atrocious playoff team against ALL competition. Look out for Western Conference picks following Wednesday's regular season finale. Challenge me, I dare you. Stat Guru
